What Is the Carbon Footprint?
The entire amount of greenhouse gases released into the atmosphere, including carbon dioxide (CO2), methane (CH4), nitrous oxide (N2O), and hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs), expressed in equivalent tonnes of CO2, is known as a carbon footprint. Among other things, it is connected to the actions of a person, a group of people, an organisation, a procedure, a good or service, or an occasion. Therefore, the overall amount of greenhouse gases created by our own activities, such as transportation, domestic chores, clothing, and food, can be referred to as our individual carbon footprint. The entire quantity of greenhouse gas emissions from a product's life cycle, from the extraction and manufacturing of raw materials to the consumer's ultimate usage, including recycling or disposal, is measured by the product's carbon footprint.
